Showcasing Australia’s global leadership in carbon capture and storage innovation, research, collaboration and emissions reduction technology.
Australia in global CCUS spotlight for GHGT-18
Australia will host GHGT-18, the world’s premier carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) conference, in Perth 25-29 October 2026.
The event will be co-hosted by Australian Energy Producers, in partnership with CO2CRC, CSIRO and Geoscience Australia.

Run by the IEA Greenhouse Gas R&D Programme, GHGT-18 will bring together more than 1,000 researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers from around the world to share the latest developments in CCUS.
Australia’s selection as host reinforces its position as a global leader in deploying large-scale carbon capture and storage projects and advancing technologies critical to achieving net zero. It also highlights Western Australia’s growing reputation as a leading destination for major international energy and climate events.
